today was our last full day here in the beach cities of france. unfortunately the sun only barely came out and it rained all morning so our bathing suits were left lonely in our beach bags. however, today was the day of CHOCOLATE. we found the most incredible chocolate place in la baule away from the tourist area and the beach. mind you, when i say "incredible," i mean it in the definitive sense of the word. as in, "i could not possibly believe it," or "it simply does not make any sense," or "what the crap." dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, chocolate pralines, chocolate with dried mango, dried kiwi, dried apple, dried strawberry, dried apricot and hazelnut and almond and our favorite, a pistachio puffed pastry that beckoned us from the window. all over the decadently decorated shop were golden pots filled past the brim with these little bits of chocolatey goodness. turns out at the end of french rainbows are pots of chocolate.
tomorrow its off to paris for our final days.
but not before we drive back to the chocolate shop to buy more.... yes. chocolate.
