this is going to be a verry quick post because for one i am super worn out and for another it's almost midnight here and i gotsta get to bed... anyways. today was our first french beach day and i must say it was incredible. the weather here is unreal its like cool and breezy but the sun is hot and bright like an american apparel tshirt and everyone is tan and happy and....boobs. you know how people always refer to french beaches as pretty "free" places. well, that is an understatement. probably 79% of the women on the beach today were topless. i mean, i'm not really all that big on nudity myself so this was a bit uncomfortable to say the least. i decided a while after we got situated on our chairs that i would go for a walk along the beach. it was about one in the afternoon and the majority of people on the beach were families or older natives of the city. we went to the beach in the city, "la baule." incidentally, la baule is also called "pornichet," which i'm convinced is the french way of saying, "porn is totally okay here." as i walked along, and as the hours progressed as i walked back because i ended up getting hopelessly lost, there were more and more people and therefore, as biology would prove, more and MORE boobs. every age group, from seven to seventeen to seventy: topless--and loving it. most of the couples just looked like two guys laying out together, side by side, whispering sweet french nothings into each others ears, oh wait, no that is a woman...
our time at the beach was wonderful though, lots of sun, lots of fun, lots of drinks from our friend benjamin, a sweet young french fellow who looked very good in pink if you know what i mean... and what began a day with crepes ended a day with pizza. real italian pizza. big and yummy and pizza-y. i had fish and a salad but stole a few slices and the chef must have been italian because it tasted like a sweaty italian. good.
sorry guys, the blog is weird so start from the bottom again with the pictures... i'm technologically retarded and pretty lazy so it is what it is...
